Leilani Emily

Leilani EmilyThe latest addition to the family, Leilani Emily. Another Palauan/Haole, or as Mimi would say another me :) Awaiting the next baby, cousin Jennifer is due in just a couple weeks.

I wish I could see her in person, but I didn't become a teacher for the salary.

Picture viewing

My pictures always look so much better on our macs than on our windows machines. Makes me want to Photoshop everything for the 10th time. Grr...

Chica

Baby Chica The latest addition to the household is this little girl. I found her in the middle of a road in CK back in May. She was sitting in the road meowing as loud as she could, and thankfully people were going around her. I drove by, turned around and prayed she hadn't been turned into a pancake on the pavement. She was still there right in the middle of the road, so I stopped and jumped out with a couple cars waiting (fortunately some very patient policemen were right behind me). Pretty ChicaShe hobbled straight for the car, and was so tiny I was able to pick her up in one hand. She was a sick kitten for a while, she had a persistent respritory infection, and eye infections. She was ugly and tough little thing from the start. We have had her for a few months now; she's healthy, happy, and apparently thinks she's a ninja (more on this later).

Above: Chica a few days after bringing her home. Right: Looking much better after a few visits to Dr. Tudor and many many baths.

Under a Rock

Ah Blogger it's been over a year, like I've been living under a rock with no internet - only ants. After last summer things just sort of snowballed and my beloved flickr and sporadic Blogger activities fell by the wayside. I finished up my 2 year Montessori Early Childhood certification - woohoo!, still working on my early childhood ed. BA - slowly. Big changes with the Head Start program, my workaholic tendencies (I'm addicted to workahol!) and a new teaching assistant - who is very nice but still new, has meant more responsibility and more stress. It's less than 2 months into the school year and I'm already counting the days until Christmas and a vacation haha.

102 days and counting!
